ABOUT US
The Ponte del Losco farm was founded in 2018 and, despite being recently established, boasts a rich entrepreneurial tradition in the wine sector spanning over 40 years, thanks to Vanis Bruni, who founded the company together with his son Roberto.
With Vanis Bruni's experience and the collaboration of esteemed experts in the field, we have been able to immediately steer the company towards high-quality standards in both agronomics and production.

THE TERRITORY
Our vineyards are located on farmland in Nonantola, at the border between the provinces of Modena and Bologna. This area is particularly suitable for wine production, as it lies in the heart of the Pignoletto and Lambrusco di Sorbara production zone.
All of our wines are the result of direct management of the vineyards, and we have chosen to use a spurred cordon system to respect the physiological balance of the plants.
Currently, the company manages a vineyard area of 4 hectares, divided between Pignoletto and Lambrusco di Sorbara. We also cultivate 2 hectares of hops, which represents an innovative venture in Italy.

THE HISTORY
The name of our company, as well as that of our wines, is strongly linked to the history of these lands.
The Ponte del Losco is a small bridge adjacent to our vineyards that marks the border between the provinces of Modena and Bologna. It once served as a watershed between Lombard and Byzantine territories, and later between the Este States and the State of the Church.
In ancient times, our farm was part of the possessions of the Aldighieri family, to which the wife of Cacciaguida, ancestor of the famous poet Dante, belonged.
The Bruni family has its roots in the Nonantola area and is one of the constituent families of the Partecipanza Agraria, a unique form of collective land management that dates back to the Middle Ages and is still practiced today.
